Eye Brow Lift
Eyebrow lift surgery, also known as a brow lift or forehead lift, is a cosmetic procedure designed to raise and reshape the eyebrows, giving the face a more youthful and refreshed appearance. This surgery is typically performed on people who have sagging or drooping eyebrows, deep wrinkles on their forehead, or creases between the eyebrows.
Types of Brow Lifts
There are several types of Eyebrow Lift techniques which depend on the patient’s facial characteristics, bone structure, skin condition and aesthetic desires.
Eyebrow Lift Surgery may be combined with other procedures that improve your facial structure such as Facelift, Nose Correction, Cheek Enhancement and Liposuction.

Eyebrow Lift Surgery Techniques
Some common techniques for eyebrow lift surgery include:
Endoscopic eyebrow lift: This minimally invasive technique involves making several small incisions in the scalp and using an endoscope (a small camera on a thin tube) to visualise the tissues and muscles in the forehead. The surgeon will then use small instruments to lift and reposition the muscles and tissues, creating a smoother, more youthful appearance.
Direct eyebrow lift: This technique involves making an incision directly above the eyebrow and removing a small amount of skin and muscle. The remaining tissue is then repositioned and secured in place with sutures or clips.
Temporal eyebrow lift: This technique involves making incisions at the temples and lifting the outer part of the eyebrows, creating a more arched and youthful appearance.
Consultation
Your consultation for plastic surgery with Mr Ferrando is an important step in the process of considering and undergoing cosmetic or reconstructive procedures.
This initial meeting allows the patient and surgeon to discuss goals, expectations, and potential outcomes, as well as evaluate the patient’s eligibility for the desired procedure. It will be an opportunity to ask questions or clarify any concerns that you may have. You will look at the “before and after” images of previous patients and get further information you need to make a decision.
Mr Ferrando will review your medical history and conduct a physical exam. He will then discuss all options suitable for you and explain each stage of the procedure or treatment. The exact procedure depends on the anatomy of the patient.

Our team believes that a well-informed, comfortable patient is one of the most important elements of the process. Whether you move forward with surgery or simply learn more, Dr Ferrando is looking forward to meeting you!
Procedure
Eyebrow Lift Surgery may be performed using an endoscope and medical instruments placed through small incisions made within the hairline. This allows the tissue and muscle beneath the skin to be repositioned, altered or removed, correcting the source of visible wrinkles and furrows on the forehead.
Correction of a low-positioned or sagging brow may be made without the use of an endoscope through incisions at the temples and in the scalp. This technique is performed with incisions hidden within the natural crease of the upper eyelids to eliminate frown lines between the brows or above the bridge of the nose.
After the Surgery has been completed, bandages will be applied to your forehead to help keeping swelling and bruising to a minimum.
Anaesthesia and length of the procedure
Eyebrow Lift Surgery is usually performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthetic combined with oral or I.V.sedation. It takes 1-2 hours to complete depending on the exact procedure required.
Recovery
After the surgery, the bandage must be kept on for the first two days. You may experience some mild bruising and swelling . Mr Ferrando will prescribe you pain relief medication to ease your discomfort.
It is important to keep your head in an elevated position as it will aid the recovery process. Some type of stitches are dissolvable and will disappear over time, whereas others will need to be removed 5 to 7 days after surgery.
You should feel fine after 2-3 days after surgery, but patients are recommended to have at least one week off work to allow their body to rest and recover comfortably at home. Any strenuous exercise or activities should be avoided for at least 2 weeks after surgery.
Follow up appointments will be made for you after surgery, but if you have any questions, or you should feel unsure about anything, please contact Mr Ferrando and he will gladly talk to you. The well being of his patients is of utmost importance to him.
Risks and Side Effects
All surgeries carry certain risks and even though they are rare you should be aware of them before making your decision. Mr Ferrando will talk you through any possible risks and side effects at his consultations as they will vary depending on the patient’s anatomy, age, physical condition and lifestyle.
During his procedures and treatments, he does everything possible to minimise the risk of complications by practicing a meticulously detailed approach and applying his world-class training background.
