Mini Face Lift for Women
Mr Ferrando’s Mini Face lift procedure involves tightening of the skin and soft tissues as well as tightening the muscle which is usually only done with the traditional facelift resulting in a more youthful appearance with less scarring and a much shorter recovery time.
It is a facelift with shorter incisions and less skin removal, ideal for people with the early signs of ageing, where a loss of skin elasticity and muscle tone has developed, or those who have a had a previous facelift and would like a touch up.
Mini Face Lift for Women
The Mini Facelift will improve your facial contours and remove the tired and saggy looking features of your face. Age, stress and pollution are the main causes for our skin to sag and loosen. We end up looking older than we really are.
A Mini Facelift can give your face a much softer and younger look. It does not involve the upper face, but is easily combined with other procedures such as Eyelid Correction, Liposuction, Neck Lift, Botox and Dermal Fillers.

Consultation
Your consultation for plastic surgery with Mr Ferrando is an important step in the process of considering and undergoing cosmetic or reconstructive procedures.
This initial meeting allows the patient and surgeon to discuss goals, expectations, and potential outcomes, as well as evaluate the patient’s eligibility for the desired procedure. It will be an opportunity to ask questions or clarify any concerns that you may have. You will look at the “before and after” images of previous patients and get further information you need to make a decision.
Mr Ferrando will review your medical history and conduct a physical exam. He will then discuss all options suitable for you and explain each stage of the procedure or treatment. The exact procedure depends on the anatomy of the patient.

Our team believes that a well-informed, comfortable patient is one of the most important elements of the process. Whether you move forward with surgery or simply learn more, Dr Ferrando is looking forward to meeting you!
Procedure
Incisions will be made in the natural creases in front and behind the ear. Sagging tissue will be tightened and excess skin removed. Incisions will be carefully sutured to assure very little, almost invisible, scaring.
A special head bandage will be attached to your head and face, to help keeping bruising and swelling to a minimum.
Anaesthesia and length of the procedure
Mini Facelift surgery is usually performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthetic, with oral or I.V. sedation, and usually takes 2 to 3 hours to complete.
Recovery
After the surgery, the bandage must be kept on for the first 5 days. Drainage tubes may be attached to your face but will be removed 1-2 days after surgery. There isn’t usually significant discomfort after surgery; Mr Ferrando will prescribe you pain relief medication to ease your discomfort, just in case you should experience any pain.
It is very important to keep your head in an elevated position as it will aid the recovery process. Some type of stitches are dissolvable and will disappear over time, whereas others will need to be removed 5 to 7 days after surgery.
You can expect a little swelling and bruising and your facial movements might feel slightly stiff for one to two weeks. Covering up these areas in the face with make up is absolutely fine.
You should feel fine after 2-3 days after surgery, but patients are recommended to have at least one week off work to allow their body to rest and recover comfortably at home. Any strenuous exercise or activities should be avoided for at least 2 weeks after surgery.
Follow up appointments will be made for you after surgery, but if you have any questions, or you should feel unsure about anything, please contact Mr Ferrando and he will gladly talk to you. The well being of his patients is of utmost importance to him.
Risks and Side Effects
All surgeries carry certain risks and even though they are rare you should be aware of them before making your decision. Mr Ferrando will talk you through any possible risks and side effects at his consultations as they will vary depending on the patient’s anatomy, age, physical condition and lifestyle.
During his procedures and treatments, he does everything possible to minimise the risk of complications by practicing a meticulously detailed approach and applying his world-class training background.
