Rhinoplasty With Chin Reshaping
The main benefit of combining rhinoplasty with chin reshaping surgery is that it can create a more proportionate and harmonious facial appearance. By adjusting both the nose and chin, a plastic surgeon can achieve a more balanced and aesthetically pleasing overall look.
Facial Harmony and balance
Rhinoplasty with chin reshaping surgery is a highly effective cosmetic procedure that can enhance facial harmony and balance. By addressing both the nose and chin together, a plastic surgeon can achieve a more natural and aesthetically pleasing facial appearance.
When combined, rhinoplasty with chin reshaping surgery can significantly enhance the overall aesthetic appearance of the face. By addressing both the nose and chin together, a plastic surgeon can achieve a more harmonious and balanced facial structure.
A receding chin, or one that doesn’t protrude very much, will cause the nose to appear larger and more dominant in the face. This is particularly noticeable when looking at the profile. In the same way, a chin that is too big for the face, will effect the appearance of the nose.

Consultation
Your consultation for plastic surgery with Mr Ferrando is an important step in the process of considering and undergoing cosmetic or reconstructive procedures.
This initial meeting allows the patient and surgeon to discuss goals, expectations, and potential outcomes, as well as evaluate the patient’s eligibility for the desired procedure. It will be an opportunity to ask questions or clarify any concerns that you may have. You will look at the “before and after” images of previous patients and get further information you need to make a decision.
Mr Ferrando will review your medical history and conduct a physical exam. He will then discuss all options suitable for you and explain each stage of the procedure or treatment. The exact procedure depends on the anatomy of the patient.

Our team believes that a well-informed, comfortable patient is one of the most important elements of the process. Whether you move forward with surgery or simply learn more, Dr Ferrando is looking forward to meeting you!
Procedure
During the rhinoplasty portion of the surgery, the plastic surgeon will make incisions inside the nose or along the columella (the tissue between the nostrils) to access the underlying bone and cartilage. The surgeon will then reshape the nose to achieve the desired size and shape, while ensuring that the breathing function is not compromised. In the chin reshaping portion of the surgery, the surgeon will make an incision either inside the mouth or below the chin to access the chin bone. The surgeon will then sculpt the bone and tissue to adjust the size and contour of the chin, ensuring that it complements the newly shaped nose.
Anaesthesia and length of the procedure
Rhinoplasty with chin reshaping surgery is typically performed under general anesthesia, and the entire procedure can take between 2 to 5 hours, depending on the complexity of the surgery.
Recovery
After the surgery is complete, the patient will be placed in a compression garment to reduce swelling and promote healing. Most patients can return to work and other normal activities within 1 to 2 weeks after surgery, although strenuous exercise should be avoided for several weeks.
Risks and Side Effects
All surgeries carry certain risks and even though they are rare you should be aware of them before making your decision. Mr Ferrando will talk you through any possible risks and side effects at his consultations as they will vary depending on the patient’s anatomy, age, physical condition and lifestyle.
During his procedures and treatments, he does everything possible to minimise the risk of complications by practicing a meticulously detailed approach and applying his world-class training background.
